Our Get Started with Women’s Football in partnership with JD Sports & Football Association Wales is taking place in June 2025!
This is a Female only Programme (including those who identify as female) Are you currently working with:
Females who are not in full time education, employment or training?
Females who would like to build up their confidence and communication skills?
The 5 day programme will be held at FAW Trust, Dragon Park, Newport NP19 4RA.
A Female Focused 5 day course to develop soft skills, build confidence, resilience and gain knowledge on health & well-being.
Available to all ability levels of football – no experience necessary!
On this course you'll also:
• Learn Football skills, have fun and meet new people, fully supported by The King's Trust staff.
• Have the opportunity to attend the Wales Vs Italy UEFA match.
• Have the opportunity to gain a coaching qualification after the programme.
The King’s Trust staff will be on programme to support each young person, to help them further build on their personal and social skills, and offer post programme support.
Programme Dates:
Taster Day – Wednesday 28th May. Virtually, Via Microsoft Teams.
The taster day is a great opportunity to come and find out more about the programme. Please note Young People must attend the Taster Day to progress onto programme.
The five day programme - Monday 2nd until Friday 6th of June 2025 at FAW Trust, Dragon Park, Newport NP19 4RA.
Eligibility:
• Aged 16-30, identify as female, not in full time education, employment or training.
Additional Information:
• Travel will be reimbursed & lunch will be provided whilst on programme.
• Kit and equipment may be able to be provided for young people who need it.
How to Refer a Young Person:
If you would like to attend the Taster Day or refer a young person to the programme, (we will need to speak with the young person to check their eligibility and to set them up on our computer system to monitor their enquiry) To enable us to do this, can you please respond to this email.
